Annie and John
We’ll never grow tired of filming weddings at Race & Religious in New Orleans. Every celebration and every couple that gravitates to this incredible NOLA wedding venue carries a certain je ne sais quoi. Well, we’ll try to describe these qualities anyhow when it comes to Annie and John:
Torrential rain and every manner of windswept wonders. Preparations and pillow fights. A second line with all your best mates. A KISS cover band lighting up the night. Pulling your lover into the water because why the hell not. The party of all parties to be remembered as the best day of your lives. When you have a venue as glorious as Race & Religious and the easy-going, best dressed duo of Annie and John to welcome you to their true to form New Orleans wedding, you count your lucky stars and kiss your Super 8 camera you get to be a part of something as special as this.
The vision for their wedding reflected a lot of the same things we value in our own work and process: the relaxed and sophisticated, easy going vibes, the well designed and curated, cheeky fun, and a celebration of people from all corners of the planet. So, when the day arrived, hit us with its frenzied and beautiful energy, and then ended in a literal storm and poolside kisses, we knew without even having seen the footage that we were going to love their Highlight film, especially with its delicious cuts of Super 8mm film.
Thanks for inviting us along for the party, Annie and John. Yours was a beautiful, kingdom crossing dream. For another Race & Religious wedding film: Emily and Brian’s wedding in New Orleans
