Sarah and Joel
When life gives you lemons, throw an epic backyard wedding with as many loved ones as you can gather in the Greater Toronto area. Sarah and Joel did just that through multiple postponements and the rollercoaster of planning a wedding during a pandemic. The perfect venue was right in front of them (Joel’s parents’ home), many of their friends could enjoy the convenience of already being in the Greater Toronto area, and most of all, despite their original plans being set aside, Sarah and Joel were more excited than ever to be officially married. Here’s how to throw one helluva backyard bash in Toronto:
The army of wedding vendors led by the talented Danielle Shaw and evidence of the finely curated decor and floral installations in our time lapses. Puppy Emme stealing the show more than a few times. You in your tailored navy blue suit and her in her Monique Lhuillier dress and the both of you sharing first looks amongst the pines and white hydrangea. Spending this long awaited day with the humans who lift you up, walk you down the aisle, and stand beside you. That irresistible jukebox transition. Oysters, flowing fine wine, champagne sabres. Turning the magic up to 12 on every beat and kissing the night away as the sparklers spin around you. Remembering your wedding day as one full of laughter, joy, and connection. And delicious cuts of Super 8mm film.
Huge thanks to Sarah and Joel for inviting us to capture their wedding in Toronto and for trusting us to capture that intangible spirit and energy of a celebration; for asking us to highlight the many people who support you; for allowing us to make some magic for, and with, you. We can’t wait to celebrate with you again soon.
