When the sky opens up to you and the mountains welcome you home, you know you’re in one of the most gorgeous wedding venues in Pemberton: Big Sky Golf and Country Club. As nature lovers through and through, Andrea and Kris brought together their favourite people at the base of Mount Currie for a wedding incorporating notes of their Brazilian and Norwegian backgrounds. We couldn’t have been more thrilled to capture it all with the help of their planner extraordinaire, Cailey Wilkes of Blue Violet Events, and the undeniable connection and electric energy of Andrea and Kris.
Majestic Pemberton meets lively Carnival. Every magical beat causing your hips to shake. Your ultra talented violinist friend entering the ceremony. The bridesmaids in dusty pink, the groomsmen in fog grey vests, him in his dapper navy suit, and you in your gorgeous beaded wedding dress. Mount Currie offering its welcome as your guests sip on Caipirinha and sway to the live Brazilian tunes. The beat matching and synchronized clapping that we can’t get enough of. Your bright smiles and happiness and mad love for one another bringing all of these spirited souls for a wedding that wouldn’t be complete without some Samba.
Once upon a time during a Latin themed cruise in Vancouver, it was love at first sight for Andrea and Kris. And on one summer’s day in Pemberton, they made it official as the feathers flew, the fringe swirled, and they tore up the dance floor.
Cheers to you, Andrea and Kris, you lovely souls, you.
